Kirkland, Washington, July 1, 2002:  Seattle-based independent filmmakers Eric Doherty and Reid Stell have just finished their second feature-length collaboration. The dramatic narrative, shot in digital video, will premiere on Saturday, July 13, at 5 p.m. in Greenwood. The Shoreline Community College Theater will pay host to 400 viewers at this one-time-only event. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or in advance at Pismire.com, or by calling 425-820-6895.

After the Seattle premiere “Penrose” will make the international film festival circuit.

Synopsis: The owner of a remote weekend cabin hires an unbalanced vigilante to catch a relentless serial burglar. The resulting citizen's arrest escalates to kidnapping, then to mayhem, as dark secrets and a shadowy shared history push the cabin owner and his ominously loyal poker buddies to the brink of the unthinkable.

Shot over four weekends on location in Lakebay, Washington, using a local cast and crew, this 90-minute drama features edgy, improvised dialog, a frenetic, documentary feel, and shocking realism. The film explores the true price of possessions, the measure of friendship and the risks of blind trust.

The Shoreline Community College Theater is located at 16101 Greenwood Ave. N. in Seattle on the Shoreline Community College campus.

Director Eric Doherty and writer/producer Reid Stell, along with the cast and crew, will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the movie.
